Biography

Singer/songwriter Ben Demerath is globally recognized for his impeccable acoustic talents and as one of the finest tenors in the folk and bluegrass scene. In 1992, Demerath formed the traditional bluegrass outfit SugarBeat with renowned banjo player Tony Furtado, vocalist Sally Truit, and mandolinist Matt Flinner. They disbanded four years later and Demerath found himself scoring tracks for a future solo effort. He soon hooked up with fellow bluegrass instrumentalist Mike Marshall to finally issue his debut Jack of Fools in early 2000.
