Biography

Initially formed as a platform from which to address and discuss racism, Curse ov Dialect released a number of records in Australia before signing to American indie hip-hop label Mush, which issued Lost in the Real Sky in 2003. The group is comprised of four MCs, Raceless, Atarungi, August 2, and Vulk Makedonski, and one DJ, Paso Bionic -- and each does production. Curse ov Dialect's music celebrates their ethnic diversity (the members' origins are Maltese, Maori, Indian, Macedonian, and Pakistani, respectively) not only in their beats, which sample music from around the world, but also in their lyrics. In 2006 the group's second album on Mush, Wooden Tongues, came out.
