Biography

Born and raised in Frankfort, IL, country singer and songwriter Dan Evans spent his teen years learning to play guitar and piano and was soon writing his own songs, as well, and with music a priority in his life, he built a firm fan following in the Chicago area. His career wasn't really going forward, though, until Evans, who had long struggled with the stigma of being over-weight, participated with his mother in the 2008 season of the reality television show The Biggest Loser. Evans ended up losing some 136 pounds during the course of the show, and the new energy and confidence his personal transformation gave him funneled straight into his music. He began working on a group of songs with co-writer Stephanie Lewis and tracking them with producers Russ Desalvo and Jim Kimball. The resulting debut album, Goin' All Out, was released by EMG in the fall of 2008.
