Biography

Punk-tinged dance-pop group Dead Disco formed in Leeds, England, while the members were attending art school during the summer of 2005. With a limited number of live dates under their belts, the band -- Victoria Hesketh (vocals, synthesizer), Lucy Catherwood (guitar), and Marie France (bass) -- contributed a track to a compilation released by Leeds label Dance to the Radio. The band's first single, The Treatment, was issued on Manchester label High Voltage in April 2006. Dead Disco (which had yet to include a permanent drummer) followed that up with another single, Automatic, which was the last single to be issued on illustrious London label Fierce Panda.
