Biography

The new wave/post-punk revival band Dead Kids from London created a buzz for themselves well before they even released a full-length album. Led by charismatic and provocative frontman Mike Frankel (aka Mike Title), the band plays a violently intense style of keyboard-driven new wave/post-punk that makes for spectacular live shows well known for teetering on the edge of collapse. The Dead Kids began their recording career with a couple singles, including The Dead Wife Pills/Ex-Rays (2006, Fierce Panda) and Fear and Fluoride (2007, Salvia/XL), but primarily got their name out via the Internet, where they hosted a popular MySpace page and saw their MP3s circulate freely within the blogosphere.
