Biography

Not to be confused with the Vancouver hardcore punk/metal outfit D.O.A., Dead on Arrival (alternately and confusingly also known as D.O.A.) is a heavy, psychedelic acid rock band influenced by the likes of Iron Butterfly, Uriah Heep, Vanilla Fudge, and Deep Purple. Drummer and Middletown, NY, native Rick Ferrusi founded the group in his home state, and provided most of the spirituality tinged songwriting direction. Dead on Arrival/D.O.A. convened an additional lineup of vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist Tommy Dee, guitarist Adam Frye, and bassist Mike LePond in 1991. The group issued Alive and Kickin' on the independent Polo label in 1996.
