Biography

DIN_FIV is the project of Da5id Din, a frequent member of the Boston industrial duo Informatik. Din grew up in a musical family, and began writing music and working with computers while still in high school. He began recording in 1990, and met up with Informatik's Matthew Crofoot three years later. The duo hit it off, and the result was 1995's Direct Memory Access, released on Sinless Records. Din formed DIN_FIV (named for the connector on a MIDI cable) as a solo project not long after. He debuted with a 1996 LP for Metropolis titled Infinity; Escape to Reality followed two years later.
