Biography

Belgian death metal band Enthroned was formed in late 1993 by singer/bassist Lord Sabathan and drummer Cernunnos, who previously joined forces in Morbid Death. With the addition of ex-Slanesh guitarist Tsebaoth, the group recorded their debut demo, followed by a split EP alongside Ancient Rites; in the wake of 1995's full-length Prophecies of Pagan Fire, second guitarist Nornagest was added to the lineup, with Tsebaoth later replaced by guitarist Nebiros. In April 1997, tragedy struck when Cernunnos committed suicide; the surviving members of Enthroned pressed on to record Towards the Skullthrone of Satan, followed in 1998 by the mini-LP Regie Sathanas: A Tribute to Cernunnos, recorded with new drummer Namroth Blackthorn. The Apocalypse Manifesto appeared a year later. The new millennium saw the release of Armoured Bestial Hell in summer 2001, followed by Carnage in Worlds Beyond in 2002, Xes Haereticum in 2005, and Tetra Karcist in 2007.
