Biography

Singer, songwriter, and Tallahassee native Eric Durrance has a firm background in country music thanks to his step-dad, who played guitar, piano, and drums, and his mother and grandfather, who taught him to sing harmony, and his grandparents, who played him George Jones. Later Durrance gravitated to the country-tinged pop of the Eagles and the songwriting styles of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson, and while he is a fine singer, it's his songwriting that remains at the center of his recordings. Working with producers Teddy Gentry and Mark Bright, he released the EP I Lost It All and the full-length Angels Fly Away on the indie label Wind-Up Nashville in 2008.
