Biography

After the Jesus & Mary Chain's acrimonious breakup in 1998, singer/guitarist Jim Reid formed Freeheat with Mary Chain guitarist Ben Lurie, plus a pair of former Gun Club members -- bassist Romi Mori and drummer Nick Saunderson (the latter of whom also fronted the band Earl Brutus). Musically picking up much where the J&MC left off, the band's first recording, an EP titled Don't Worry, Be Happy, was released in late 2000 by Hall of Records.
