Biography

Frifot united three of the most respected figures on the contemporary Swedish folk music circuit -- vocalist/fiddler Lena Willemark, fiddler/bagpiper Per Gudmundson and multi-instrumentalist Ale Moller. The trio made their American debut in 1999 with the NorthSide label release SummerSong, a collection of material which was previously only available in Sweden on the Caprice label. That same year ECM issued a self titled album from the trio, which was met with favorable reviews. Four years later a follow-up, Sluring, was released by NorthSide.
