Biography

Jangle pop collective Girls Say Yes is spearheaded by drummer/singer/songwriter Jim Huie, who employs a revolving-door cast of collaborators in a manner similar to Anton Fier's Golden Palominos. Huie previously played in Russ Tolman's backing band, and Tolman in turn appeared on the Girls Say Yes debut To Boys Who Say No, which was recorded over a period of several years and finally released by Paisley Pop in early 2001. Other guests included Mitch Easter, Richard McGrath (True West), Bobby Sutliff (the Windbreakers), and Steve Almaas (Comsat Angels/Beat Rodeo), among others.
