Biography

The New Jersey threesome Halfway to Gone southern fry some heavy stoner rock that just might lure the old Jersey Devil out of the pine barrens to whoop it up with the boys. The band formed in 2000 when bassist/vocalist and founding member of Solarized Lou Gorra got together with Lee Stuart, Solarized's touring guitarist, and drummer Chuck Dukehart of Sixty Watt Shaman. Halfway to Gone released a split album with Alabama Thunderpussy in 2001. The band followed that same year with their debut full-length, High Five, a red, white, and blue riff ruckus where Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Sabbath party together in a rip-roaring, backyard barbecue.
