Biography

Headcase was an alias for Dean Garcia, who is best known as one half of Curve. Prior to starting Curve, Garcia was a session bassist for the likes of Eurythmics, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Gang of Four. He also spent a brief amount of time in the mid-'80s as part of State of Play with future Curve partner Toni Halliday. Garcia began composing music on his own as Headcase in the late '90s. Mushiness, recorded between 1998 and 1999, featured a sedated form of his usual output with increased use of electronics. He did all of the music, with occasional vocal contributions coming from a number of sources. Crosseyedrabbit followed two years later.
