Biography

Swedish indie pop group Hell on Wheels was formed in 1994 in Stockholm by guitarist/vocalist Rickard Lindgren, bassist Åsa Sohlgren, and drummer Johan Risberg. Lindgren and Sohlgren grew up down the street from one another in Oxelösund before Sohlgren met Risberg in 1991 -- the rhythm section later married -- and the trio eventually relocated to Stockholm and declared their status as a band. Hell on Wheels has since released a series of EPs and singles alongside their first full-length, There Is a Generation of Handicapped People to Carry On, which was released in 2001 on the North of No South label. Oh My God What Have I Done followed in 2003.
