Biography

Led by former Mighty Blue Kings bassist Jimmy Sutton, the Four Charms play retro jump blues and swing that references such late-'40s and '50s icons as Tiny Grimes and Jimmy Preston. Recruited by Sutton over a year-and-a-half period, the band features guitarist/vocalist Joel Paterson, saxophonist Jonathan Doyle, and drummer Jim Barclay. The band released it's debut album, Flatland Boogie, on Hi-Style in 2000. The band's sophomore release Triskaidekaphobia followed in 2006.
