Biography

Mexican pop/rock band Jumbo was formed in March 1997 by ex-Blueswagen keyboardist Eddie González and bassist Charly Pornet. They were joined by guitarist Jorge Tamez Chapa (aka Flip Fantastic) singer/guitarist Alejandro Clemente Castillo, and drummer Enrique González Peláez (aka Bugs Wako). After recording a few original songs, BMG signed them up in November 1997. Jumbo's debut album, called Restaurant, was released in 1999. The band also participated in a tribute album to Latin star José José covering "Lo Dudo." D.D. y Ponle Play followed in 2001.
