Biography

Lakuna was the instrumental electronic project of former Throwing Muses drummer David Narcizo, born May 6, 1966 in Newport, RI. A co-founder of the Muses, he was also the lone member of the group outside of frontwoman Kristin Hersh to remain a constant of the line-up from the band's 1980 formation through to its 1997 dissolution. In the wake of the Muses' demise, Narcizo mounted Lakuna, essentially a solo project rounded out by contributions from friends including Hersh and Frank Gardner; a 12-inch, "So Happy, " shortly preceded the 1999 release of the 4AD label full-length Castle of Crime.
