Biography

An experimental indie/electronic act based in Berlin, Laub was formed in the mid-'90s by programmers Antye Greie-Fuchs and Von Jotka. The pair debuted in 1997 with the Kopflastig LP, released on Kitty-Yo -- home to companion acts like Tarwater and Gonzalez, and also the site of Greie-Fuchs' day job. After adding percussionist Sebastian Vogel, Laub returned in 1999 with Unter Anderen Bedingungen Als Liebe and an accompanying remix album, Intuition. Meanwhile in 2002, Greie-Fuchs and Jotka released the wonderful Filesharing, an aptly titled record of tracks created primarily by the producers passing audio files via the internet.
