Biography

Singer/songwriter Lisbeth Scott got her start in music at an early age. While growing up in Boston, Scott anticipated a career in classical piano. She studied at The New England Conservatory, Connecticut College and The University of London throughout the 1990s, however a professional career with the classical arts was no longer a part of her plan. She packed her bags for Los Angeles, picked up an acoustic guitar and began crafting a new life. Scott is a vocal wonder. While finding a place in L.A., Scott's wispy, cool vocals shaped into a simple beauty while her guitar skills sharpened up as well. She issued her debut album, Sirens in 2000; Climb soon followed. During this time, Scott's found herself involved in television. Many of her song went on to be heard in episodes of Party of Five, Felicity, Chicago Hope, Touched By An Angel and MTV's Road Rules. Films came next: Scott's voice can also be heard in The Scorpion King, Shrek, Spy Games, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. In 2002, Lisbeth Scott released her more personal work yet and critics quickly compared her to the likes of Kate Bush and Shawn Colvin; Dove appeared that fall on her newly established one Records.
