Biography

Long Since Forgotten (LSF) began in 1999 as a modest emo band on the indie circuit. Group members Josh Coy, Caleb Coy, and Jeff French self-released their debut album, In All Honest, in January 2000, followed by a five-song acoustic EP, Monday 12am, a year later. After the EP's release, the trio finally added a full-time drummer, Steve Stockin, and began playing shows on the East Coast, primarily throughout New York state. For its next album, and first with Stockin, LSF went to Eudora, KS, to work with Ed Rose at his Redhouse Recording studio. Rose had previously worked with such accomplished bands as the Get Up Kids and offered LSF a professional, polished production sound. The band spent eight days with Rose in October 2001. The resulting album, All the Things You Said..., scored LSF a record deal with RocketStar Recordings, who released the album in late summer 2002. Around this same time, LSF featured one of its songs on volume eight of The Emo Diary series and embarked on a national tour in hopes of further broadening its recognition.
