Biography

Showing off their love for American honky-tonk and 50's rock and roll brought out by Sun Record, Hotshot tributed this sound throughout their home country of Japan. On top of their own brand of old school rockabilly and swank female vocals (courtesy of Chie Comeda), not only brought on huge local following-even before the whole swing revival of '98-- but also prompted coverage in the V-Search book "Swing, The New Retro Renaissance" where they also shared the pages with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Royal Crown Revue. With all this attention, it wasn't long before American ears where turned on to Hotshot thanks in part to Dinoysus Records who released their debut "Wise Up-Watch Out" in 1999.
