Biography

Country singer/songwriter Julie Lee grew up in Maryland and turned to sculpture before becoming a professional musician. After earning an art degree at college, she moved to Nashville, where she began writing songs as well as pursuing visual art. Eventually, she began performing, and she self-produced three live CDs of her work before she was signed to Compadre Records, for which she made Stillhouse Road. The album, featuring guests Alison Krauss and Vince Gill, was released in October 2004.
