Biography

The Manatees established themselves in the surf rock scene of Seattle with their added hybrid of Tiki jazz, spy themes and cocktail lounge. On top of their added use of Venture covers as well as an eerie back drop provided by a theremin, the quintet eventually released their self-titled debut album in late 1999. Following a number of comparison to the likes of Dick Dale, The Beach Boys and Danny Elfman, The Manatees second full-length Snackin' With The Manatees came out in early 2000. Snackin' With appeared in spring 2001.
