Biography

A Portland, OR based trio signed to legendary punk label Kill Rock Stars, New Bloods were a group that successfully melded '70s style punk licks with homegrown fiddle and drums, assuring them a respected place in the American underground scene of the early 21st century. Members Osa Atoe, Adee Roberson, and Cassia Gammill all came from different corners of the country (Atoe was from Oakland, CA, while Roberson and Gammill were New Orleans transplants) before jamming at Roberson's house made them realize that a long-term collaboration was in the offing. A debut 7," simply titled "New Bloods," was released by Raw Sugar, and before long, the band was booking mini tours on both coasts. Their debut album, The Secret Life, arrived in spring 2008.
