Biography

Pablo is a five-member acoustic alt-country/folk-rock affair featuring two sets of brothers and a wife. The New York band includes ex-Awek member Paul Schalda (vocals, guitar), ex-Realistics member Will Schalda (keyboards), Paul's wife Maggie Schalda (vocals, keyboard), Michael Strandberg (guitar, bass, lap steel), and William Strandberg (drums). Following a 7" on These Are Not Records and a limited EP, the band self-issued the full-length Half the Time, later re-released in October 2006 by Curb Appeal. In early 2007, the band toured with Kevin Devine, quickly followed by a stint with Straylight Run.
