Biography

The alternative CCM band Plush (not the Palace Brothers-related outfit) was formed in Evansville, IN. in 1996 by vocalist/guitarist Tim Vaughn, guitarist Matt Camp, bassist George Hoppenstedt, and drummer Clint Walker. Musically, the band recalls the sort of melodic post-grunge rock of secular bands such as Collective Soul or the Foo Fighters. The group began working with songwriter/producer Tony Palacios in 1997, and their partnership eventually resulted in a record deal with Absolute, which issued Plush's self-titled debut in 1999.
