Biography

Tropical orchestra Puerto Rican Power was formed by bassist Jesús Castro in the early '70s, soon granting its leadership to trumpet player Luisito Ayala. In 1983, singer Tito Rojas joined in, starting a new stage in the Puerto Rican salsa history. After reaching an agreement with musical production, Puerto Rican Power recorded Canta Tito Rojas, Con Más Poder, and the successful Con Todo El Poder, released in 1992, featuring the hit single "A Donde Iras." In the late '90s, Luisito Ayala's orchestra signed up to J&N (Juan y Nelson), issuing Men in Salsa in 1999.
