Biography

Red Soda is an alternative/indie rock trio with an emphasis on both melody and improvisatory Sonic Youth-style guitar effects. Although the group -- guitarist/vocalist Adriaan Mol, bassist/vocalist Tasha Drazich, and drummer Angus Forbes -- formed in the mid-'90s (in time to open for Lydia Lunch and Exene Cervenka at the spoken-word gig which resulted in the album Rude Hieroglyphics), they took their time building up a studio portfolio, releasing only the EP Underneath the Moon and Eyelashes during that decade. Having honed their craft on stage, Red Soda finally issued its full-length debut, :Halo, in early 2001.
