Biography

Fronted by studio engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer Jeff Zeigler, Philadelphia band Relay (with a name derived from a switch on recording equipment) released the EP Type/Void in August 2006 on Bubble Core. Harking back to the shoegaze of the early '90s, the group, which also includes Mikele Edwards on guitar, Ian Fraser on bass, and Gerard Angelini on drums, earned comparisons to Stereolab and the Jesus and Mary Chain and issued its debut full-length, Still Point of Turning, in October of the same year.
