Biography

Silver Sunshine is a four-piece band from San Diego, CA. They draw their inspiration form the classic sounds of the post-British Invasion freakbeat and psychedelic bands like the Move, the Kinks, Pink Floyd, and a host of other lesser-known bands you might find on the Rubble Collection box sets. Richard Vaughn (vocals, guitar), Conor Riley (vocals, guitar), Stuart Sclater (bass, vocals), and Ian Sclater formed the group in December of 2001. After a couple of years of refining their sound, the group recorded a demo tape that led to them being signed by Wishing Tree Records Group and their new off-shoot label, Empyrean Records. The band holed up in San Diego's Earthling studio and began work on their debut album with producer Mike Kamoo. The self-titled full-length record was released in late 2004, and their follow-up, A Small Pocket of Pure Spirit, was released in 2005.
