Biography

Founded in the late '80s, Midwestern country rockers the Gigantics crafted their sound practicing in barns, basements, and wherever they could find a rehearsal space. Through name changes and bass players, the Michigan-based group spent their formative years performing locally with bands such as Dinosaur Jr., the Connells, Matthew Sweet, the Jayhawks, Robbie Fulks, Wayne Hancock, and the Bad Livers. Guitarists and songwriters Mark Neff and Marty Fletcher both sing in Everly Brothers-esque harmonies, with drummer/mandolin player Todd Brown and bassist/multi-instrumentalist Dave Stanton adding occasional vocals. This vintage quartet released their first full-length album, Angel Talk, in mid-2000.
