Biography

Inspired by English shoegaze music, British singer/songwriter Ian Christian and Los Angeles musician Matthew Rhee formed the indie rock group the Local Division. After meeting at a Mark Gardener show in Nottingham, Christian and Rhee started recording songs that would eventually become the tracks of their first release. The songs were mixed in Los Angeles by Mark Rains. The resulting EP, Pure Electric Light, was released on Intravenous Records in 2004.
