Biography

A kind of underground rap supergroup comprised of Quannum labelmates Gift of Gab (from Blackalicious) and Lateef (from Latyrx) and producer Headnodic (from Crown City Rockers), the Mighty Underdogs got together after Lateef invited Gab to join him on some Headnodic beats he was rhyming over. The three found that they worked well together and decided to call themselves the Mighty Underdogs, self-releasing the six-song EP The Prelude in the fall of 2007 in anticipation of their debut full-length, Dropping Science Fiction, which had an impressive selection of guests and a planned 2008 street date.
