Biography

Led by ex-Teenage Fanclub drummer Paul Quinn, Scottish melodic rockers the Primary 5 make '60s-influenced folk-rock not dissimilar to the drummer's former employers. In 2001, after recording four albums with the Fanclub, Quinn decided to leave the band and begin work on his first ever set of original songs. Collaborating with local Glaswegian musician Ryan Currie at ex-Oasis bassist Paul "Guiggs" McGuigan's studio, Quinn sang and played many of the instruments on the band's debut album, North Pole. He then released the album on his own Bellbeatmusic label in 2004. Go followed on Re-Action Records in 2007.
