Biography

Swedish natives Pontus Berggrensson (drums), Lasse Hindberg (guitar/vocals), and Göran Frennesson (bass) formed the Rhinos in spring of 2000. A couple of months later, the band added Björn Persson on second guitar and vocals. The band recorded after some gigs, resulting in the ten-song, promo-only Thirst. Longtime live backing vocalist, Leif Svensson, was asked to join the Rhinos as a full-time member, providing vocals and harmonica. Eventually, Svensson stepped up as frontman for the Rhinos. Year of the Rhinos was released in October of 2003 on Rainbow Quartz Records.
