Biography

The dark, arty punk combo the Vexers comprises singer/guitarist Jennifer Taylor, guitarist Tres Warren, bassist Michael Hammel, and drummer Jesse Van Anglen. Taylor, Warren, and Hammel met in Los Angeles in 2001, but moved to south Philadelphia to hone their sound. During their practices they met Van Anglen, who contributed drums as well as the Vexers' name to the group. The Vexers' dramatic shows earned them a following that included engineer/producer Mike Musmanno, who took the group into the studio to record what became their self-titled full-length debut, which Ace Fu released in early 2003.
