Biography

Immediately after the 1996 breakup of Chicago's Slapstick, three of the seven members went on to form the anti-ska of Tuesday. Dan Andriano (bass, vocals), Matt Stamps (guitar), and Rob Kellenberger (drums, vocals) brought on a politically inspired front of pop-punk that sounded almost exactly like Fifteen. But by the time Asian Man Records debuted their 1997 EP, Early Summer, there was more of a complex structure of pop and emo within Tuesday's sound. That same year, after their friend Tyler Wiseman joined on second guitar, Asian Man followed up with the album Free Wheelin'. But after a U.S. tour in support of the CD, the band soon called it quits, with Andriano moving on to the Alkaline Trio.
