Biography

Eaton designs and builds many of the stringed instruments he plays, and he's come up with some unique hybrids like the "koto harp guitar," the "o'ele 'n strings" (a double-necked instrument), and even a 26-string guitar. The Phoenix-based artist performs and records most often with Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai. Together they create haunting, highly resonant, original pieces inspired by places and cultures of the Southwest.
