Now based in Nashville, singer/songwriter Andrew Ripp began his music career in Palatine, Illinois, where he broke through writing mainstream pop songs for other artists. His songs were featured on American Idol and One Tree Hill, and in 2005 made it into the Billboard Hot 100 when his music was covered by Ryan Cabrera. With his soulful voice and catchy tunes, it wasn't long before he made his own recording debut with 2008's Fifty Miles to Chicago, which debuted at number one on onlilne singer/songwriter charts. He continued to develop his songwriting approach and toured across the U.S., Europe, and even the Middle East in 2009. The following year he released his second album, She Remains the Same, again on his own label. After relocating from Illinois to Nashville, he signed with Be Music & Entertainment and, working with Grammy-winning producer Charlie Peacock, released his third album, Won't Let Go, in 2013. He quickly followed up in 2014 with a stripped-down acoustic album called Simple, which featured acoustic versions of ten tracks from Won't Let Go along with a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors," a crowd favorite from Ripp's live set.
