Ape School is the moniker of Michael Johnson, a Philadelphia based musician. Johnson cut his musical teeth as a former member of Holopaw and Lilys, and collaborated with Daedelus on his album "Love To Make Music To"(Ninjatune). In 2008, JesusWarhol Records released a digital 2-album set of Johnson's he recorded leading up to his 2004 debut "Nonsense goes mudslide". In 2009 Ninjatune released his Ape School album through their rock imprint; Counter records.
