All Music Guide:

The dark and metallic hardcore of Chicago's Arma Angelus materialized in late 1999, arising out of the dissolution of Extinction and the furiously political Racetraitor, two influential bands on the local scene. In the few years they were together, Arma Angelus made a name for themselves around the Midwest with an intense live show and invigorating approach to hardcore. They released an EP via Happy Couples Never entitled The Grave End of the Shovel (Let It Burn Records later released it in Europe) and a full-length, Where Sleeplessness Is Rest from Nightmares, before officially breaking up in late 2002, as members wanted to concentrate on other projects. The latter album, which was produced by Adam Dutkiewicz and released on Eulogy, was recorded with Arma Angelus' lineup comprised of vocalist Pete Wentz, guitarists Dan Binaei and Jay Jancetic, bassist Chris Guiterrez, and drummer Tim Miller. Like most bands, lineup changes had occurred over time and the band also included Tim McIlrath (bass), Adam Bishop (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums) at one point or another. Members of the group went on to play with a slew of bands, most notably pop-punkers Fall Out Boy and hardcore revivalists Rise Against.

Wikipedia:

Arma Angelus was a metalcore band from Chicago. The band formed in 1998 and broke up in 2002. Members of the band were Pete Wentz (vocals, also bassist in Fall Out Boy and Black Cards), Tim McIlrath (bass, now lead singer of Rise Against), Jay Jancetic (guitar, last played guitar for the Chicago band Holy Roman Empire), Daniel Binaei (guitarist), Adam Bishop (guitarist, now an English teacher at Liberty High School in Bakersfield, California), and Timothy Miller (drums).

After Tim quit to form Rise Against, he was replaced in 1999 by Christopher Gutierrez (known to Fall Out Boy fans as the "Hey, Chris" in "Grenade Jumper" from Take This to Your Grave). Gutierrez is now a touring author and spoken word artist. He was replaced as bassist for one tour by Joseph Trohman (also a guitarist in Fall Out Boy and in The Damned Things). He was replaced mid-tour when the band flew Chris Gutierrez out to New York for the final half of their tour, including a stop at CBGB's.

In the last Arma Angelus concert, Patrick Stump played drums, Pete Wentz sang, Joe Trohman played guitar along with Adam Bishop, and Christopher Gutierrez on bass.
