As Blood Runs Black is an American metal band from Los Angeles, California. They have released two albums. Their first album, Allegiance, was released on June 6, 2006. Their second album, Instinct, was released on March 15, 2011. Instinct reached number 1 on the Billboard Heatseakers Albums chart and number 111 on the Billboard 200 for the week of April 2, 2011.

During 2011 and 2012 in support of Instinct, the band has played gigs with acts such as War from a Harlots Mouth, I, The Breather, Miss May I, Winds of Plague, Chelsea Grin, For the Fallen Dreams, In the Midst of Lions, Emmure, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Oceano, and Powerglove at venues including the Underground and Electric Ballroom in London, Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, Emo's in Austin, Texas, Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, and The Opera House in Toronto.
