Cleveland-area band Coffinberry have been openers for the Walkmen, Kings of Leon, and the Rogers Sisters, though the group has more in common with the 1990s raw indie rock from the likes of Superchunk and Archers of Loaf. Coffinberry -- Nicholas Cross (guitar/vocals), Anthony Cross (drums/vocals), Patrick O'Connor (bass), and Tony Janicek (guitar) -- had the honor of playing their first gig in spring 2002 with the French Kicks. Recordings include the From Now on Now EP and the album God Dam Dogs.
