Originally going by the name Nocta, Swedish guitarists/bassists John Doe and Joakim, drummer Daniel, and session vocalist Björn Pettersson changed their band name to Craft in 1999, going to prove that they could shower terror, blood, guts, and equal-opportunity hatred upon humanity with as much conviction as most any of their more notorious Norwegian neighbors. In fact, 1999's Total Eclipse demo, 2000's Total Soul Rape, 2002's Terror Propaganda, and 2005's aptly descriptive parting shot Fuck the Universe all contained enough primal, old-school black metal misanthropy to fill many a career longer than Craft's. Rest in pieces, guys.
