Cyminology is an ethnically diverse Jazz band performing with Persian and own lyrics sung by Iranian/German singer Cymin Samawatie who writes most of the tunes. The music of the quartet is a synthesis of contemporary jazz, classical elements and oriental meters.
History
The band formed in 2002 and self released their first CD in December that year. Performing well in several international Jazz contests, festivals and club gigs they have gone on to touring internationally, on occasion as representatives of the Goethe-Institut.
