Group Members: Curt Kirkwood

All Music Guide:

Featuring one member from Meat Puppets, one from Nirvana, and one from Sublime, Eyes Adrift began when Curt Kirkwood was touring solo throughout the West Coast of the United States in late 2001. Former Nirvana bass player Krist Novoselic met Kirkwood in Seattle and asked if the two could work together at some future point. As the tour continued into Long Beach, CA, Bud Gaugh contacted Kirkwood and also wanted to work together. A meeting between Novoselic and Kirkwood took place at Wire Recording in Austin, TX. Shortly thereafter, Gaugh joined and the trio began rehearsing in December 2001. Within days, songs were composed, including "Pasted." From there, recording began in the Washington State area. A brief but widely praised tour ensued in late January and early February, with the musicians fusing various musical styles including rock, folk, and alternative country. The group's debut album was released in 2002.

Wikipedia:

Eyes Adrift was a three piece rock supergroup consisting of Krist Novoselic (bass guitar, formerly of Nirvana), Curt Kirkwood (guitar and lead vocals, of the Meat Puppets), and Bud Gaugh (drums, formerly of Sublime and Long Beach Dub Allstars). They released a self-titled album (see below) in 2002, which was a mixture of punk, grunge, and country, taking all of their previous backgrounds and putting them together. They later broke up in 2003, after their debut album flopped. Kirkwood and Gaugh went on to form Volcano. The album is currently out of print.
