Illogic (born Jawhar Glass) is an American underground hip hop artist from Columbus, Ohio. He has releases on both Weightless Recordings and Dove Ink Records. He has collaborated with a variety of artists, particularly Blueprint, who has produced a large portion of his albums, but also Aesop Rock, Vast Aire, Eyedea, Slug and other emcees.
History
Illogic began in the Columbus, Ohio hip hop scene when at the young age of 16 he claimed the 1996 Columbus Hip Hop Expo MC battle, surrounded by what would come to be the core of the emerging "bustown" sound. He released the first album Unforeseen Shadows on Weightless Recordings in 1998. It was produced entirely by Blueprint. The album features Blueprint and Doseone among others.
Years later, Illogic has shared the stage with Rakim, Casual, Psalm One, Atmosphere, Eyedea, Brother Ali, The Roots, Common, One Be Lo, Royce Da 5'9' and many other nationally recognized acts.
In 2009, Illogic released the fourth album Diabolical Fun accompanied by Ill Poetic on Weightless Recordings.
