San Francisco-based artist and multi-instrumentalist Jefre-Cantu Ledesma is a founding member of the Bay Area indie-ambient outfit Tarentel, a member of the cinematic experimental rock trio the Alps, and the co-founder of respected drone/ambient label Root Strata. He began recording under the name Colophon in 2000, resulting in 2003s Love Loops, and has released numerous CD-Rs and cassettes under his own name as well, including 2010s Forced Exposure-distributed Love Is a Stream.

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma is a multi-instrumentalist, member of several bands and co-founder of the Root Strata record label based out of San Francisco, California. Cantu-Ledesma got his start in the band Tarentel. He was one of the founding members and is still a primary figure in the band's line-up. In addition, Cantu-Ledesma is, and has been, involved in a slew of other musical projects.
