Leadfoot is a term used to describe someone who drives quickly or without subtlety, one who often engages in and/or is fond of slamming and flooring the accelerator often. An older definition describes a driver that does not compensate for differences in terrain, and therefore slows down when going up a hill (irritating everyone behind him), and speeds up going down (preventing other drivers from passing), because his "foot is made of lead," thereby "preventing him from changing the throttle's position."
